Update on NAR's Multiple Listing Options for Seller's Policy

Days after NAR’s announcement, the MLS Now team began working closely with NAR to understand the policy and plan a smooth rollout if our organization decided to implement the change. Initially, we moved towards its adoption, but after close review of the industry’s reaction, features that already exist in our MLS, several additional conversations with NAR, other MLSs, Staff, and Board of Directors, MLS Now has elected NOT to implement DMEL. We believe that another rule related to policies of this nature represents confusion and disruption in our marketplace.

The main feature of this new NAR policy is to allow for delayed/temporary or permanent exemption from listing being sent to IDX sites, as well as various public Internet websites. This ability exists in our system today. It is the No Internet Option when listings are being added. We have chosen not to implement DMEL but to educate further on the No Internet Option. That option has been part of the training and course content for the add/edit part of our system for some time, and we are including additional information on that feature here. The No Internet Option now requires a waiver from the seller as of Monday, 9/22/2025 (this form is in this communication). Please email the completed waiver and the listing agreement to: QA@mlsnow.com. If the waiver is not received within 2 days from listing, the No Internet option will be removed.
